Hidden Access Lift (HAL)

  • A vertical platform lift that is "hidden" until access is required. The Hidden Access Lift is stored beneath the lower landing floor next to the stage or vertical rise, and is hidden by hinged floor panels. When the lift is summoned, the floor panels open and the lift rises to floor level for entry. The user enters the platform, activates the raise button, and is transported to the upper level. Once lift use is complete, the lift is returned to its stored position below the lower landing surface.
